Hunger

what Rebecca will fight for in Congress.

13 million children — 1 in 6 kids — are going hungry. Yet $25 billion would end hunger in the US. That’s 3.5% of our annual defense budget.

After two rounds of Covid stimulus, hunger fell almost 3% to just over 8%. If the federal government can reduce hunger, why not eliminate it? In the richest country on Earth, hunger is a policy choice.

In Congress, I will fight for spending $25 billion per year to end hunger in the US, including universal free breakfast and lunch at schools, as well as an increase in EBT (food stamps) and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children program).
